ConnexOntario operates a free, confidential helpline 24 hours a day on 1-866-531-2600 for anyone in Ontario affected by gambling, including family members.
Every province runs its own service: the Problem Gambling Helpline in British Columbia on 1-888-795-6111, Alberta's 24-hour line on 1-866-332-2322, Manitoba's on 1-800-463-1554, and Jeu: aide et référence in Quebec on 1-800-461-0140. Gamblers Anonymous runs meetings across the country and Gam-Anon supports families.
Provincial self-exclusion programmes are run by the provincial lottery and gaming corporations and by iGaming Ontario operators. They are effective within the system that operates them.
An internationally licensed operator is not part of that system. A provincial self-exclusion does not reach it, and it will not consult a provincial register before opening your account. If you have self-excluded, device-level blocking software is the tool that actually works across every site, regulated or not.
Gambling can be addictive and is not a way to make money. If you are chasing losses, borrowing to play, or hiding it from people close to you, the helplines above are free and confidential.
